The Farm to School Program Coordinator Anna Jackson and OUHSD HealthCorps Coordinator Jessica Silon received the Richard R. Rush Community Partner Award from CSUCI’s Center for Community Engagement this year, for mentoring CSUCI Public Health student projects during OUHSD health fairs. With sincere gratitude and honor, we accept this award on behalf of the many students, teachers, staff, and OUHSD Administrators who support our work each day. We also received recognition from Congresswoman Julia Brownley, Senator Hannah Beth-Jackson, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, Assemblymember Monique Limón, and Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks. We are overwhelmed, grateful, humbled, and inspired to continue this work that we love. Working with students is it’s own reward, but it’s an incredible honor to be recognized by such incredible leaders in our community. Thank you CSUCI!
