On Saturday, October 10 the Frontier High School Leos participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness-Ventura County 5k. Going beyond just participation, the group presented the organizers with a check for $400 from the club to aid in the fight against cancer.
The Leos work at various events, from snack bars to VC Fair parking to earn money for the club to donate to both projects and causes in their community. In the last 4 years the FHS Leos have supported Guide Dogs of America, Food Share, City of Hope, ARC, to name a few. This is in addition to the hands-on service they perform at organizations such as the RAIN Project, the Rescue Mission, the VC Sheriffs and VC Fire Departments.
