Before the season started, Pacifica head football coach Mike Moon declared he wouldn’t shave until his team lost a game.
Since then, his Tritons have gone 9-0, leaving Moon and his team hoping the coach and his razor don’t meet again until the middle of next month.
Pacifica’s biggest test comes Friday night when it hosts rival Oxnard, with the winner claiming the Pacific View League title.
It’s been four seasons since somebody other than Camarillo, which left for the Camino League, has won the PVL crown. While Oxnard has seven league titles to its credit, Pacifica is searching for its first league championship.
