The Rio Mesa High School drama club will present the musical comedy “My Favorite Year” on Fri. and Sat., April 12 and 13 at Pacifica High School’s auditorium, 600 E. Gonzales Road, Oxnard. The show will be staged each evening at 7 p.m., with a matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Set in 1950s New York City, the play is about a group of comedy writers working for a TV variety show.

About 20 RMHS students are staging the production under the direction of Rodolfo F. Larrazolo, who is making his debut at the helm of the Rio Mesa Drama Club this year.

Advance tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased at Rio Mesa High School, 545 Central Ave., Oxnard. Tickets will also be sold at the theater window before each show.
