The senior shortstop has hammered two home runs.
“She has a very powerful swing,” Rio Mesa head coach John Velasquez said. “You have to see the home runs to believe it. She crushed both of her home runs.
“Sabrina is tough as nails. There isn’t anything she doesn’t do well.”
Garcia has yet to decide where to play next, but she prefers to stay in California.
She has received interest from the University of Nebraska and the University Colorado.
“I’m so happy we have Sabrina on our side,” junior first baseman/outfielder Alexis Mariscal said. “She’s an amazing hitter.”
Garcia is close friends with third baseman/pitcher Ashley Baca. They were teammates on a Camarillo Girls Softball Association team in middle school.
