The Oxnard High girls soccer team only needed a tie to secure the outright Pacific View League title.
But the Yellowjackets refused to settle for anything less than a win.
Senior Angie Lumbrano scored the game-winning goal just before the final whistle to give Oxnard a 2-1 victory over rival Pacifica on Thursday night at Pacifica High.
Oxnard (14-5-3, 9-0-1) finished unbeaten in league play to secure its first league title since 2007 while Pacifica (12-5-6, 7-2-1) remained in second place.
