The Oxnard High School Marching Band & Auxiliary won First Place in Marching Band Category at the annual Ventura County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16th. Approximately 80 entries traveled down Main Street in Downtown Ventura and the Yellowjackets were cheered on as they performed and entertained for thousands of spectators. The band continues to bring spirit and pride to the “cardinal and gold”.

The band has been very busy during the 2012-2013 band performing at OHS football games, band competitions, parades, grand openings for local businesses, private and charity events, restaurant fundraisers, Dallas Cowboy training camp, and many other community events.

The Oxnard Yellow Jacket Marching Band & Auxiliary is led under the direction of Band Director Fundi Legohn who will enter his 22nd season in September as Oxnard High School’s music and band director.

Congratulations Fundi and the Oxnard High School Marching Band & Auxiliary!
