OHS Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2013

We are proud to announce to you the 2013 class of the Oxnard High School Hall of Fame. The Members of the Nomination and Selection Committee, Ted Lawrence, Terry Lopez, Connie Cervera and Rick Garcia have been working tirelessly to finalize the third group of honored OHS Inductees. The OHSHOF class of 2013 consists of 3 outstanding Yellow Jackets and 2 CIF Championship Teams, whom are also listed on the attached presentation.

The Purpose of the OHSHOF is to recognize outstanding individuals who have maintained a high standard of excellence and made a significant contribution to Oxnard High School and/or in their fields of endeavor after graduating/retiring from OHS. This Hall of Fame is to honor and permanently preserve the legacy of those who have excelled as Yellow Jackets and serve as examples that will inspire our youth to achieve greatness of their own in the future.

Plans are to honor the inductees during Homecoming Week 2013, on October 25 with a reception at 5:30 and an induction ceremony at 6, in the OHS Library. After this the new class with join the other two class members and participate in the Homecoming Parade at Halftime of the Varsity contest.

We know many other Jackets could have been honored and they will get their chance…..Nominations for the class of 2014 will start being taken during Homecoming Week 2013.
