Channel Islands MESA students competed in the California Central Region MESA Day on April 13 at CSU Fresno. Students returned with 8 medals, the most from the UCSB region. Miguel Gonzales and Jeremy Pulido placed 1st while Erick Esquivel and Alfonso Solis placed third in balsawood gliders. Martin Hernandez and Rebecca Hernandez placed 3rd in Balsawood bridges. Martin also placed 2nd in Speak Easy Speech competitions. Flor Quinones placed 2nd in solo math geometry.
