Attendees can learn to live more energetic, healthier lives through better food choices.
The workshops will be: Feb. 7, Mindful Eating; Feb. 12, Stress and Stroke Free; Feb. 19, Greens and Grains; and Feb. 21, Diabetes Prevention.
“The Weight of the Nation” documentary will be presented at each workshop
The Feb. 7 workshop will feature St. John’s Hospital and other health and wellness professionals offering information about mindful eating.
In addition, attendees can discover how to reduce obesity rates, create healthier lifestyles and improve posture to reduce stress and pain.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
Each participant will receive an action plan to calculate their body mass index, as well as tips and takeaways on healthy food choices.
The cost is $20 per person per workshop. The event is a fundraiser for ACHS.
Register by Feb. 3 for any or all workshops. Walk-ins are welcome.
