February 2, 2012 – Local professionals came to Hueneme High School to judge Science Fair projects. 20 science judges from the local science community, Oxnard College, retired teachers, and the navy bases judging 47 projects in 8 categories.
All ninth grade honors biology students were required to participate in the science fair. The judges have been encouraged to give advice and ideas to the students to prepare them for the county fair. Those selected to advance will be chosen at the end of the day with a grand prize winner announced at that point.
Ultimately, projects completed to the standards of the Ventura County Science Fair will go on to that fair in April.
