Valdez’s quick, accurate throws make him an ideal quarterback to run Camarillo’s no-huddle spread offense. Despite missing three games, the senior thrived under the Scorpions’ high-powered offense last season with 2,537 passing yards and 34 touchdowns. The second-year quarterback completed 72 percent of his passes and threw only five interceptions in 2011.
