Pacifica’s Taylin Robinson wins scholarship from BASC foundation

Taylin Robinson was the first BASC scholarship recipient. She was awarded $3000.00 towards her FIDM tuition. FIDM is the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She has already completed her first quarter and is doing well.The BASC Foundation sole purpose is to provide critical financial support for those qualifying high school graduates who are choosing careers outside the traditional four year college path. Taylin is planning on being a wedding and event planner with her two year certificated degree. You can see Taylin and other scholarship winners on BASC’s website.

Those also receiving partial monies towards their spring semester a Oxnard’s Culinay Program AND CIA in New York are:

1. Karissa Sutton, 2.Thomas Vasquez, 3.Jordan Sanchez and 4. Jasmine Chacon.

**Juan Agustin is already attending CIA , (Culinary Institute of America) in New York. Alexia Ayala and Michael Flores will be attending CIA in the spring.
