Oxnard continued its resurgence in Pacific View League play with a 40-7 rout of visiting Channel Islands on Friday night. The win heightens next week’s rivalry game in the battle for Gonzalez Road with Oxnard (5-4, 3-1) and Pacifica (4-5, 3-1) with second place in the PVL likely on the line.
“Our kids like to play them, so that’s a good thing,” Mark Beckham said of Pacifica. “That will be a good game.”
