The Oxnard Union High School District is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on its Measure H Citizens Bond Oversight Committee. One public “member at large” and one representative of the senior citizen community are needed.
Measure H was passed by OUHSD voters in November 2004. It authorized the District to issue up to $135 million in general obligation bonds to build two new high schools, including one in Camarillo, and renovate existing campuses.
The only requirement to become a Bond Oversight Committee member is to reside within the District boundaries of one of OUHSD’s schools: Camarillo, Channel Islands, Frontier, Hueneme, Oxnard, Pacifica and Rio Mesa. You do not need to be the parent of a student attending one.
The committee meets the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The term of office is for two years and members are not compensated.
For more information, call Steve Dickinson, OUHSD Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, at 385-2529 or email him at
