Adam Espinosa and the Oxnard High Yellowjackets ran wild Friday night in a 62-0 Pacific View League rout at Hueneme.

Espinosa scored five touchdowns, four in the first half, to spoil Hueneme’s homecoming game.

“We finally played four quarters,” said Oxnard coach Mark Beckham. “We were opportunistic. We took advantage of turnovers and we didn’t beat ourselves.”

Espinosa rushed for 168 yards on 12 carries. He scored on runs of 3, 4, 30 and 18 yards in the first half when the Yellowjackets (3-4, 1-1) held a 23-0 advantage. Espinosa scored his fifth TD on a 36-yard run with 10:22 left in the third quarter to make it 49-0.
