Oxnard High School marching band students put down their instruments and picked up sponges, waters hoses, towels and signs for a car wash fund raiser aimed at raising funds to help keep the music program on it’s feet. Band supporters and residents from through out the community pulled up for a car wash.

With the help of parents and faculty, the students ran a rather impressive two lane assembly line, with a dedicated set of helpers to perform each task of the wash. Car owners stayed in their car through the process, with a few dodging forth from their car to the snack stand where Hamburgers, nachos and other food could be purchased.

The fund raising event also offered e-waste recycling. E-waste is the common name for electronic products that have reached the end of their useful life.

The Oxnard High School Marching Band is extremely grateful to those who came out on Saturday to support the program as well as the students, parents and faculty who support the program all year round.
