Oxnard player’s condition upgraded as team rallies around No. 25

The team isn’t priority one in the Oxnard High football program this week.

It’s all about the one. Or, really, No. 25, the jersey number worn by senior Adrian Padilla.

“We’re staying positive,” said senior center/defensive tackle Bruno Sajor. “Everything we do is for him. If we’re running sprints, or doing drills, we’re saying, ‘This is for No. 25. Let’s do it the A.P. way,’ We want to be positive, because that’s the kind of guy he is.”

And there was positive news on Wednesday when Padilla’s condition was upgrade.
