

Jake Maulhardt’s football career at Camarillo High may be remembered for the numbers 28 and 222.
The 6-foot-7, 215-pound receiver set state records this year by catching 28 passes in a single game at Canyon High on Sept. 23 and finishing his three-year career with 222 receptions.
But that’s not how his coaches and teammates define his impact on back-to-back Pacific View League championship teams.
“This is the type of kid that you want in your program,” said offensive coordinator Tony Pinedo.
