As the click hit 0:00, Conrad Kotake could finally relax. The versatile senior running back did a little bit of everything Friday night in Camarillo’s 63-50 win that resembled a track meet more than a high school football game.
Kotake made 10 catches for 200 yards. He first carry came in the fourth quarter, but yet he still managed to pick up another 142 yards on five carries. He accounted for five touchdowns — four coming through the air.
“He’s such a big playmaker for us,” Camarillo coach Dennis Riedmiller said. “He’s been doing it since his sophomore year.”
