Congratulations to senior Vanessa Prado. This multi-talented student was awarded a four-year $180,000 scholarship which includes a $250 per month stipend to attend college. Vanessa is a member of the HHS NJROTC Program and is the current Commanding Officer.

Vanessa is also a member of the Hueneme Girls’ Water Polo Team and President of the Hueneme Student-to-Student (S2S) Program which welcomes newly arriving students and helps familiarize them around campus to help make them feel at home here at Hueneme High School.

Vanessa gives back to her community by volunteering numerous hours of service to the Oxnard Police Department Kids Safety Program, The Oxnard Alzheimer’s Association, Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Annual Toy Drive, and helping her parents with their family business.

In keeping with the highest Hueneme NJROTC tradition of Honor Courage and Commitment, Vanessa Prado reflects great credit upon herself, her family, and Hueneme High School. Congratulations, Vanessa!
