We have an update on a story about a home burglary that left a blind musical child prodigy in tears.

Today Rachel Flowers is all smiles thanks to the generosity of our viewers and a famous musician.

Last week the 17 year old told us about the burglars who stole her laptop, a cello, two flutes and saxophone from her Oxnard home.

Flowers also played us an “Emerson Lake a Palmer,” tune on a Hueneme High School piano.

Since then, Keith Emerson has plugged a paypal donation site and her You Tube videos on his Facebook page.

Classmates have raised money selling cupcakes.

Someone donated a saxophone.

And Samy’s Camera in Santa Barbara gave Rachel a new laptop and a backpack.

Her teachers for the visually impaired say the computer is perfect for her screen reader software.

Up next, her friends and family are planning a May fundraising concert at the WAV in Ventura to help her purchase professional instruments for her future performances and music career.
