
Mid-November typically serves up cold, blustery conditions on the Channel Islands High campus and, oh yes, the presence of the school’s renowned boys soccer team practicing on the stadium field shortly after the final bell.For now, the soccer program has to adjust its schedule.
“I know they’re anxious to get on the field, but we want to make them wait a little while,” says Raiders head football coach Gary Porter with a smile.
For the first time since 2004, the Raiders football team has advanced to the CIF-Southern Section playoffs and players and coaches happily embraced preparations this week in the school stadium.
