Our Division I bound senior girls are as follows:
Tatiana Alcala:
NCAA DIV 1 Softball: University North Carolina-Greensboro…4 year varsity player. 2 Time MVP Award, Coaches Award, 2 Time All League 2nd Team, 2 Time All League 1st Team, 3 year Varsity Basketball Player Played 2nd Base and Shortstop. Tatiana is a leader on and off the field. This spring, Tatiana also participated in Pacifica’s Every 15 Minutes program. Tatiana is a student in the Teaching and Educational Careers Academy and with a GPA of 3.625, she is in the top 6% of her class.
Cynthia Gomez:
NCAA DIV 1 Softball: Appalachian State, 4 year varsity softball player. Offensive Player of the Year 2011, 1st Team All League 2011 Coaches Award, Rookie of the Year 2009. Played Centerfield, Shortstop, and 1st Base. Cynthia is also a tremendous student with a 3.46 GPA, placing her in the top 12% of her class.
Aundria Basquez:
NCAA DIV 1 Softball: Indiana University-Purdue at Indianapolis, 3 year varsity player at Pacifica. Triton of the Year 2009, Defensive Player of the Year 2011, 2nd Team All League 2011. Played Catcher and 3rd Base. Aundria was also a student in the Teaching and Educational Careers Academy, served actively in ASB all four years and as an ASB Cabinet officer her senior year. She also participated in the Every 15 Minutes program. Also a stellar student, Aundria has a 3.52 GPA, placing her in the top 10% of her class.
All three young ladies held true to the philosophy of Pacifica High School by showing strong achievement academically, athletically and in the arts. We are exceptionally proud of all three of them and their success during their high school years, and we look forward to seeing their collegiate success, both academically and athletically, in the coming years. Congratulations Tatiana, Cynthia and Aundria – and congratulations and commendations to your families for all of their support as well!! You have made Pacifica High School and the community of Oxnard extremely proud.
