Farm to School Program

Our Farm to School Program is designed for the students, by our students.  Each school has a Student Nutrition Advisory Council (SNAC), an organization that collaborates with the Nutrition Services Department to ensure that students have access to good quality, fresh, and locally grown produce each day.

The Student Nutrition Advisory Councils (SNAC) at each school site are led by students, supported by faculty, staff, and the Nutrition Services Department.  SNAC collects feedback through surveys, taste testing events, and social media that Nutrition Services uses to plan our menu.  SNAC promotes health and wellness on campus through events and awareness campaigns.  SNAC also creates and maintains school gardens that provide fruits and vegetables for our cafeterias.

We are always searching for more partners in our community to support this vital program for our students.  We need to raise funds to support our farm field trips and growing school gardens.  We also welcome donations of supplies and friends, family, and neighbors who would like to volunteer.

If you would like to support our program in any way, please contact:
