Music Rooted in Tradition
Through a combination of individual coaching, small ensemble, and full-class learning circles, the Mariachi Pathway provides students with the opportunity to improve their skills in voice and mariachi instruments, including guitar, trumpet, violin, guitarron, and vihuela. Connect to the music, history and culture of Mexico through the artform that brings all generations together. The program prepares students for both careers and college by teaching them leadership, teamwork, and dedication through music. This multi-semester program will help teach students how to play – and then advance a student’s ability to play. Through this coursework and expert guidance (and practice!), students can excel both musically and in their college career.
Career Pathways help students explore their talents and use their experiences in the classroom to select a career path they’re passionate about.
