Prog Overview

  • Purpose: To provide high school students with hands-on experience and professional qualifications to enter the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field as an Instructional Aide or Paraprofessional.
  • Program Components:
    • High School Paid Apprenticeship Model
      • Classroom Instruction (RSI): Students receive formal instruction in the classroom as part of their
        Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI).
      • On-the-Job Training (OJT): Real-world, paid apprenticeship experience.
  • Dual Enrollment Units in ECE:
    • Junior Year (11th Grade): 6 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
    • Senior Year (12th Grade): An additional 6 units in ECE.
  • When to apply: 9th & 10th grade.
