Music Rooted in Tradition
Through a combination of individual coaching, small ensemble, and full-class learning circles, students in the Mariachi Pathway will hone their skills in voice and mariachi instruments, including guitar, trumpet, violin, guitarron, and vihuela. Connect to the music, history, and culture of Mexico through this art form that brings all generations together. The program is dedicated to preparing students for careers and college by teaching them leadership, teamwork, and dedication through music. This multi-semester program will help teach students how to play and advance a student’s ability to play. Through this coursework and guidance (and practice!), students can excel musically and have a true competitive advantage in their career and college.
