Interested in Early Childhood Education?
The Oxnard Union High School District offers resources and programs for 9th and 10th grade students interested in Early Childhood Education. Students are provided with hands-on experience and earn professional qualification to enter the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field as an Instructional Aid or Paraprofessional.
R.E.A.D.Y is an engaging, career-focused program designed for students who are interested in exploring the field of childhood education. Through hands-on learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and real world classroom exposure, students gain a deeper understanding of child development, teaching strategies, and the impact educators have on young learners. The program helps students build foundational skills such as communication, leadership, creativity, and collaboration, while also providing insight into educational pathways, certifications, and college programs. R.E.A.D.Y empowers aspiring educators with the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience needed to take the first steps toward a rewarding career in childhood education.
