Budgets
Oxnard Union High School District uses a single-budget adoption process which, by statute, requires a school district to conduct its public hearing and adopt its final budget by July 1 of each year (Ed Code Section 42127). The budget is a tool used for planning and control by district administration.
Education Code sections 42130 and 42131, as amended by AB 1200, require each district superintendent to prepare and submit interim financial reports to the governing board so the governing board can certify whether or not the school district is able to meet its financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.
