The Adolfo Camarillo Agriscience Pathway provides instruction in agricultural science and agricultural science systems management, giving students the opportunity to develop premier leadership and personal growth while preparing for college or a career through the FFA (Future Farmers of America). Agriscience is a career that focuses on society’s food and textile needs in the present, without compromising the viability of future generations to continue to feed and clothe the world’s growing population. Students get the opportunity to interact with skilled professionals who specialize in all areas of agriculture, with a focus on animal and plant science. Students engage in project and work-based activities that make learning more relevant and engaging.

Career Pathways help students explore their talents and use their experiences in the classroom to select career paths that they’re passionate about.

Does a career in animals or livestock interest you?

Through FFA, students in the agriculture pathway will learn about livestock nutrition, genetics, breeding, and animal health. Students are also able to raise a market animal for the Ventura County Fair to expand their livestock experience. This program now also offers the opportunity for a rewarding experience working with our Guide Dog Puppy Program. Students may apply to raise a guide dog puppy their third year in the program.
