Response to Suspected Cases of COVID-19 on Campus

Due to the pandemic, we want to make sure that parents are aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Parents should screen their children for these each morning PRIOR to coming to school.  These include, but are not limited to:

  • All individuals should be screened at home before coming into the school for fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, fatigue/muscle or body aches, headache,, congestion/runny nose.
  • Students with a temperature over > 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit will not be permitted to stay in school.

Please DO NOT send your child to school with ANY of the above symptoms. If your child is found to be ill at school, then he/she will be sent home.

The district will adhere to the  following California Department of Public Health  and Ventura County Public Health guidance in regards to the handling of suspected and reported cases of COVID-19: If at any time during the quarantine they become ill or test positive for Covid, it is imperative that you contact the school nurse immediately.
