Daylight Saving Time & Your Body Clock

Our bodies follow a natural 24-hour cycle called the circadian rhythm, which helps regulate sleep, energy, digestion, and alertness. This internal clock responds to cues from our environment—especially natural light—that signal when it’s time to wake, eat, and rest.

Support a healthy circadian rhythm by:

• Managing stress

• Getting natural sunlight

• Following a consistent sleep routine

• Exercising regularly

• Eating meals at consistent times

National School Breakfast Week

The first week of March celebrates National School Breakfast Week, highlighting the importance of starting the day with a healthy meal. Students who eat breakfast are more likely to stay focused, perform better academically, and arrive ready to learn.

School breakfast offers a convenient, nutritious option for busy mornings, ensuring every student has the fuel they need to succeed. We also recognize the dedicated nutrition professionals who help give students a strong start each day.
