WELLNESS COMMITTEE MEETING #3
All students, parents and community members are invited to the third wellness committee meeting held at the Hueneme High School. The meeting will be held from 1:30-3:00pm in the student wellness center on February 4th.
Wellness Committee Meetings are a great time to come together as a school community, learn about issues important to students and learn about ways to take care of ourselves. Refreshments are available
SELF-LOVE AND A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD
Loving yourself means treating your body with kindness and respect, fueling it with the nutrition it needs to thrive. Food isn’t the enemy – it’s energy, comfort, and a way to connect with others. Let’s embrace balance instead of being too hard on ourselves. Listen to your body: eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full, and know it’s okay to enjoy your favorite treats. Remember, your worth is not defined by how you look. Self- love is a journey, and small steps like positive self-talk and nourishing your body can make a big difference.
PIZZA STICKS NOW SERVED ON TUESDAYS
One of our most popular items, pizza sticks, are a whole-grain bread stick stuffed with cheese and pepperoni. Pizza sticks are served with a side of home-made marinara sauce with fruit, vegetables and milk available.
CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY OVERNIGHT OATS
The signature overnight oats have been struck by cupid’s arrow and are now Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats!
Made with chocolate milk, topped with strawberries and a sprinkling of chocolate chips, overnight oats are full of flavor, fiber and protein!
BE OUR VALENTINE!
While supplies last, all lunches on Valentine’s Day, 2/14, will be served with a whole grain, heart-shaped sugar cookie!
